The jump in gas prices has created a jump in the number of people running out of gas on California freeways.
One AAA driver says that the number of calls he gets from people that have run out of gas has quadrupled since the price of gas went through the roof. He used to get five a week. Now he gets 20 calls a week.
He sarcastically advises people not to think you have 20 gallons left in your tank after you hit “E”. Gas calls to the CHP have also skyrocketed.
