East Bay MUD announced their water restrictions for the coming months.
The new restrictions include a mandatory 10% reduction in water use, limiting watering to three days a week, and no watering between 9a and 6p. The new rules affect about 1.4 million customers. EBMUD will also impose a drought surcharge of about $6 a month.
Reservoirs are at about 71% capacity, and are not expected to fully refill after the Sierra snowpack melts.
