Jennifer Grey has agreed to return for the Dirty Dancing sequel.
Plans for the sequel were announced back in 2020, but Grey hadn’t yet signed on to reprise her role as Baby. This will be the first direct sequel of the original 1987 film, but there have been plenty of other spinoffs, many not so successful. A TV series based on the film was broadcast in 1988, but only lasted only ten episodes.
Producers haven’t set a release date or official title of the film.
