What’s the perfect amount of sleep we should be getting every night?
It turns out that scientists have finally come up with an answer……7 hours a night. This is the result of a study of a half a million people in China and the Uk , aged 38-73. They were asked about their sleep patterns, mental health, and took a series of cognitive tests.
People who got seven hours of sleep, no more and no less, experienced less anxiety and depression, and had better cognitive abilities.
However, there are still some scientists who feel that “one size does NOT fit all”. The optimum amount of sleep can vary from person to person.
