Top Gun: Maverick opens this weekend, and it could be the biggest movie opening in a while, even pre-lockdown.
Tom Cruise has a chance to do something he hasn’t done before…starring in a film that opens with $100 million in domestic box office receipts!
It should come as no surprise, that his films have pulled in more than $10.3 billion in world wide ticket sales over the last 40 years.
Even if the Top Gun sequel opening doesn’t hit $100 million, his current record is “War of the Worlds” opening of $64 million back in 2005.
