You might be paying a 5-10 cent deposit on wine & liquor bottles & boxes every time you buy them at the store. Lots of people thought we were already paying the deposit. If this passes the California legislature, it would go into effect early next year.
You’re already paying a deposit for water, beer and soda bottles.
People in favor of the idea say it’s necessary because less than a third of liquor and wine bottles are recycled.
