Good news/bad news:
With the Labor Day weekend coming up, you can expect a slight uptick in gas prices. That happens with almost any holiday, when travelers take to the road. That’s the bad news.
So what’s the good news? Gas prices have dropped for the last 70 days in a row. The longest stretch since 2005.
According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of regular in California is $5.31. Lots of drivers in the Bay Area are noticing the difference because some stations are now selling gas below $5 a gallon.
At last check, the national average is $3.89 a gallon.
