A great sign for the economy and tourism is that United Airlines isn’t seeing the typical post-summer travel slowdown this month!
There is historically always a drop off between August and September, and that is not happening this year! United Airlines said they are seeing more travel to the Asia-Pacific region, which is particularly good news for San Francisco International Airport, because SFO is one of United’s MAJOR gateways to that part of the world.
All that to say, United is hiring like crazy at SFO right now. They had a big job fair on Friday and you can go online to their website and apply for a job as well.
They are hiring for customer service, technical operations and corporate support teams. They’ve hired 875 employees in the Bay Area this year and with flights filling up quickly and more planes in the air, they need more people so this might be a good opportunity for YOU if you’re looking to make a career change or if you’re out of work and looking to pick up a good job!
