Traffic levels in the bay area are almost back to pre-pandemic rules. The Bay Bridge, Richmond San Rafael Bridge and Carquinez Bridge are back to about to 90%. The San Mateo bridge is back to 80%. The Dumbarton Bridge to 70%.
That being said, public transit numbers are still way down so it will be interesting to see if some of the people that are back on our Bay Area freeways make the move back to public transit or if they continue to abandon public transit in exchange for driving.
