It’s so great to see the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival back after a two-year pandemic hiatus.
It happens this weekend on Half Moon Bay’s Main Street, and it’s the 50th anniversary!
The big, and we do mean big, winner of the pumpkin weigh-off this year is Travis Gienger of Anoka Minnesota. On Monday his prize winning pumpkin weighed in at 2,560 pounds…a new national record. Gienger will take home $23,040 in prize money. He drove 35 hours to deliver his gourd to Half Moon Bay.
This isn’t the first time Gienger was in the winner’s circle. He won the weigh-off back in 2020, and will ride in this year’s parade.
