According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, California’s drought is having a big impact on the supplies of certain produce nation-wide.
94% of California has fallen under severe drought conditions. About one-third of the nation’s veggies, and three-quarters of its fruit and nuts. Among the crops hardest hit in California are tomatoes, onions, and garlic, making it difficult for farmers to meet market demand.
You may see a rise in prices of some products, like ketchup for example.
