It’s not your imagination. Bay Area Commute times have dropped.

Commute times have dropped across the nation because of the pandemic with more people working remotely. No surprise there. Among cities with a million or more residents, the Bay Area hosts the largest number of remote workers. About 35% of us are now working remotely.

That translates into shorter commutes for people who still commute to work.

The good news is, the average Bay Area commute time has dropped the most in the country. The average Bay Area Commute time has dropped by 6.4 minutes. That doesn’t sound like much, but we’ll take it!
