This past Wednesday, Mexico’s Senate passed a bill that would finally eliminate daylight saving time. Mexico changes their clocks earlier than the U.S. So, when they move their clocks back this Sunday morning, it’ll be for the very last time and they’ll stay permanently on standard time. Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has spoken out against daylight saving time in the past.
Earlier this year the U.S. Senate passed a bill to eliminate daylight saving time. The bill still needs to pass the house, and if it gets President Biden’s signature, it will go into effect on November 5th of next year.
