The Bay Area Air Quality Management District wants your old, polluting car.
The people that bring you Spare The Air Days want to get old polluters off Bay Area roads, so they’re paying incentives of $1,200 to get rid of vehicles from the 1998 model year and older.
The only requirements are:
Vehicles have to be 1998 model year or older
The vehicle must be registered as drivable
The vehicle must have been registered in the Bay Area for the past 2 years.
Vehicles must have a current smog check
