This is the season for baking holiday goodies. Jack Kulp’s mom baked the best snickerdoodles every Christmas. Jack now bakes them for HIS family. Here’s the recipe:
In a mixer put:
2 soft sticks of butter (16 tablespoons)
1.5 cups of sugar
2 eggs
Blend it all together
Then combine:
2.5 cups plus 2 tablespoons flour
2 teaspoon of cream of tartar
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Sift it all together & add to butter/sugar/egg mixture in mixer
Chill in the fridge for one hour
Roll the dough into walnut size balls and roll into a mixture of
3 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamon
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and slightly flatten each one
Bake at 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes
Makes about 60
