Netflix has said in the past that they intend to crack down on password sharing. This time they mean it.
They estimate that more than 100 million households share Netflix passwords, which seriously cuts into their revenue. Right now they’re testing a system in Latin America whereby subscribers can continue to share passwords but will be charged between 3 and 4 dollars per shared password.
Netflix intends to roll paid password sharing later this year.
