All lanes are now open but you are backed up from Treat to Willow Pass Rd. 242 is still an option for an alternate route.
5:45am:
The 2 right lanes are open. The 5 left lanes are closed. The coroner is on the way. There is no estimated time of reopening.
5:40am:
There is a major freeway closure in the Bay Area Thursday morning. 680 South is closed from Treat Blvd. to North Main as a pedestrian was struck early this morning. CHP is advising motorists to take 242 through Concord to get to their destination.
680 Northbound lanes are open.
