Rumors are spreading that Blockbuster may attempt a comeback.

Blockbuster’s website went back online a few days ago, and their Twitter account was reactivated. Their website carries the message “We are working on rewinding your movie.”

Blockbuster was founded in Dallas in 1985, and business peaked in the early 2000s when they had 9,000 stores around the world offering movies and video games for rent. Blockbuster filed for bankruptcy in 2010. Dish Network bought the company, and closed the remaining 300 blockbuster locations. One store, in Bend, Oregon, remains open.

Speculation is that Blockbuster may launch its own streaming service.
