What's more American than a hot dog?

According to data from Instacart, the grocery delivery service, the answer is nothing.

Looking at the shopping habits of customers in the 7 days leading up to Independence Day, Instacart says that hot dogs reign supreme. In fact, data showed that 30 states, including California, purchase more hot dog buns than hamburger buns for the big holiday.

Meanwhile, per Instacart purchase data, relish is the most purchased condiment for Fourth of July, with a 79% spike in orders for the seven days leading up to Independence Day.
