A recent USA Today poll has revealed that the best place for homemade ice cream in United States is in Virginia.
Specifically... the Island Creamery on Chincoteague Island in Virginia.
According to USA Today “ Churning an all-natural premium ice cream mix from local cows, Island Creamery’s flavors are inspired by local fruit farmers. Number 2 on the list... and the closest to the Bay Area... is An's Dry Cleaning in San Diego (and yes, it's an ice cream shop [or specifically, a gelato shop], not a dry cleaning shop).
