So you've got a job with benefits... but do you actually know what they are?
A new study by Alegeus (a health care payment solutions company) found that about half of the 608 people they surveyed were using their annual lifestyle benefits.
That includes access to elder care, day care, pet care and adoption assistance.
Which means that other half are not using them. But that could be changing.
Alegeus says that to due to numerous present-day economic factors, consumers have increasingly become cost-conscious, with many respondents stating grocery and gas/transportation as areas where they continue to cut back due to inflation, according to a previous survey by Alegeus. Recognizing the growing issue, employers have introduced benefits geared toward cost-savings for expenses.
