Your nearest Chipotle might be getting some help from a non-human helper the next time you order that guacamole.
The new “collaborative robot” named Autocado is being tested right now at the Chipotle Cultivate Center in Irvine, California.
And to be fair, the Autocado really only prepares the avocado - taking 25 pounds of unpeeled avocados, standing them upright one at a time, slicing them in half and removing the skin and pit.
You know... the part we all hate the most.
The peeled avocados drop into a bowl below, and a Chipotle worker then takes over, adding additional ingredients and mashing the guacamole.
