With travel officially back this summer, putting together a last-minute vacation for yourself or the family may seem overwhelming with higher prices.
Christoper Elliott is a travel expert and has some tips on how to avoid headaches when putting together a trip this summer.
Among the advice:
Manage crowds. If you're going somewhere with crowds, Elliott says go earlier, or later, during off peak times.
Handle delays. Delay rage is real. Avoid flights that are delay-prone. Leave earlier. Plan to be flexible.
Higher Prices. Use discount websites where you can save some money - but don't go so cheap that it ruins your vacation. Instead, choose a less expensive destination.
When to say when. The biggest surprise piece of advice from Elliott is: If you want to survive summer travel, don't go now.
