The people over at Trader Joe's have made one thing clear. They will not join the trend and install self-checkout lanes in their stores.
During a recent episode of Trader Joe's podcast, CEO Bryan Palbaum and President John Basalone confirmed that self-checkout lanes are not in the land for its stores.
"Self-checkout is work, and I don't want that," said Paulbaum. "I don't want to burden shoppers with bagging groceries."
