Have you noticed web-like substances drifting through air lately?
You're not alone - as people across the Bay Area are reporting the webs in the air.
According to an entomologist at San Jose State, what you're seeing is a process of "ballooning" - where baby spiders release tiny strands of silk and then use it to float away to find new areas to find food or places to live.
