The California DMV has suspended Cruise's deployment and testing permits for it's driverless (autonomous) cars.
The stoppage was announced Tuesday, effective immediately, following reports of safety concerns and incidents in San Francisco.
“When there is an unreasonable risk to public safety, the DMV can immediately suspend or revoke permits,” the California DMV said in a statement.
