Google search trends indicate that "The Nightmare Before Christmas" is more commonly associated with Halloween than Christmas.
A data graph posted on Reddit shows that searches for the movie during the Halloween period consistently outperformed those during the Christmas period between 2015 and 2019. However, some users argue that the disparity in searches could be due to the larger number of Christmas films available, diluting interest in "The Nightmare Before Christmas."
Others believe that the data supports the idea that the movie can be enjoyed during both holidays. Ultimately, the debate over whether the film is a Halloween or Christmas movie may not be settled by this data alone.
