Destiny was nominated by her mother Stephanie, who wrote:
"My Daughter Destiny, through all of our setbacks , and trying to overcome homelessness, she still continues to keep on the right path. Graduated high school in 2022, has kept the same job for almost 3 years. Just bought her first car and is enrolled in Chabot college to become a Nurse. She is my world, she could have crumbled and gave up but she’s doing all she can to make her future bright."
