The San Francisco 49ers partnered with U.S. Bank, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, and several nonprofits to distribute food and toys to families in need at an event last week called "Hope for the Holidays."

Around 180 families received toys, blankets, kitchen supplies, and food.

The event also featured appearances by 49ers players, who took selfies with the children.

The CEO of Second Harvest of Silicon Valley noted that there has been an unprecedented level of need, with the organization serving over half a million people every month.

49ers player George Kittle expressed the importance of helping those in need during the holiday season.
