Elton John has achieved EGOT status after winning an Emmy Award for his concert documentary "Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium."

The three-hour special, which streamed on Disney+, won the award for best variety special (live).

John now joins the elite group of EGOT winners who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.

The legendary singer-pianist expressed his gratitude and humility for the honor, thanking his fans for their support throughout his career.

John's concert special beat out other contenders, including the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show and the Oscars telecast.

Elton previously won two Oscars for best original song thanks to “Rocketman” (“I’m Gonna Love Me Again”) and “The Lion King” (“Can You Feel the Love Tonight”), a Tony Award for best original score (“Aida”) and six Grammy Awards.

Only 24 stars have achieved this Hollywood honor.
