Both Hulu and Disney+ are cracking down on password sharing, following in the footsteps of Netflix.
Disney+ has started emailing US members to announce new terms and conditions that include restrictions on sharing passwords across households.
Hulu has revised its Terms of Service to explicitly ban password sharing outside of "your primary personal residence" and is telling subscribers they will need to comply by March 14th, 2024.
Companies can check for password sharing by checking IP addresses and detecting patterns of multiple users viewing different content at the same time.
