NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) has discovered a super-Earth called TOI-715 b, which is 30 to 70 percent larger than Earth and located 137 light-years away.

The exoplanet is about 1.5 times the size of Earth and orbits within the habitable zone, where liquid water could potentially exist.

TOI-715 b orbits a red dwarf star, which is cooler and smaller than our sun, suggesting it may not be a scorching world.

Scientists plan to further study the planet with the James Webb Space Telescope to learn more about its atmosphere and potential for hosting life.
