The Super Bowl LVIII showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers drew an average of 123.4 million viewers, making it the most-watched Super Bowl in history.
The event in Las Vegas surpassed the previous record set in 2023, with an audience approaching the all-time most-watched television broadcast during the Apollo 11 Moon landing.
The game featured a halftime performance from R&B star Usher and was broadcast on CBS, Paramount+, Univision, and Nickelodeon.
Nielsen reported a record 202.4 million people watched at least part of the game, excluding viewers in public spaces like bars.
