Apple Advises Against Using Rice for Wet Phones

You've either heard about it... or done it yourself.

Wet phone... into a bowl of (uncooked) instant rice.

Apple is now speaking out, saying consumers should NOT be putting their phones into rice, as rice particles could damage the phone.

Instead they say if your iPhone gets wet, act fast to save it by unplugging it, removing it from water, and powering it down.

And again, they say to avoid putting it in a bag of rice to prevent damage from rice particles. Allow the iPhone to dry in a dry area with airflow and try charging it after 24 hours.
