Congratulations to Jack in Concord. He is this week's Morning Breeze Person of the Week!
Jack was nominated by his wife Kimberlee, who wrote:
"My husband has been a mail carrier for 32 years and their importance is often overlooked. There have been instances of helping elderly customers and saving a few lives while delivering. He received a National Letter Carriers Award for his heroic act while delivering mail. Jack was delivering when he saw UPS driver cross by and said driver’s head was tilted back and not looking at the road while the vehicle was moving slow. He kept his eye on the vehicle and noticed it was going towards a house. He jumped out of his postal vehicle and ran towards the moving truck. He was able to jump into the truck, steer the wheel away from a house and put the vehicle in park before it hit a tree and possibly the house. The driver was unconscious and having a medical issue."
