Jon Stewart, host of The Daily Show, became emotional as he shared the story of his family's beloved dog, Dipper, with viewers.
Stewart recounted how his family met Dipper at an animal shelter in New York and described him as the "best" dog.
Dipper even became part of the show's original crew and met notable figures.
Stewart, who returned to The Daily Show after nine years, will continue hosting on Mondays and executive producing the show to help it through another transition.
