Celine Dion, who has a rare neurological condition, posted on Instagram (see below) that she looks forward to performing again.

Dion, 55, revealed in December 2022 that she has Stiff Person Syndrome, which causes stiff muscles in the torso, limbs, and legs and spasms due to loudness or emotional stress. "Trying to overcome this autoimmune disorder has been one of the hardest experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day get back onto the stage and to live as normal of a life as possible,"

Dion said in a post late Friday (March 15) to mark International SPS Awareness Day. Progressive Stiff Person Syndrome has no cure; however, treatment can control symptoms.

The US National Institutes of Health reports that SPS affects twice as many women as men.

Dion canceled her 2023 and 2024 gigs in May 2016, citing that she was too weak to tour.
