California is home to some of the nation's best campgrounds, with eight campgrounds in the state making Campspot's list of North America's top campgrounds.
The list, compiled using over 50,000 data points, includes categories such as best in the U.S., best RV or tent campgrounds, and top spots for large groups.
Campspot estimates a 35% increase in domestic travel this year, with most overnight stays at the winning campgrounds costing less than hotels or short-term rentals.
The Campspot Awards highlight exceptional campground experiences across North America, providing travelers with outstanding outdoor experiences.
