Michael Ende Productions and See-Saw Films are teaming up to develop a film adaptation of Michael Ende's beloved children's fantasy classic, The Neverending Story.

The partners have secured the rights to the enduring novel, which was first published in 1979 and has since been translated into 45 languages and sold millions of copies worldwide - and was made into a film by the same name in 1984.

The story follows young Bastian Balthasar Bux as he discovers a mysterious book that transports him into the fantastical realm of Fantastica, where he embarks on a heroic adventure to save the land from total oblivion.

The films will be produced by See-Saw Films and Michael Ende Productions, with a focus on bringing the beloved story back to the big screen for a new generation of fans.

The project has garnered excitement from the producers, who are passionate about bringing literary worlds to life on screen and honoring the legacy of this iconic tale.
