Pier 39 in San Francisco is currently attracting attention due to the largest gathering of sea lions in about 15 years.
Visitors can enjoy watching the sea lions and explore the shops, restaurants, and attractions around the area. The sea lions are following the food source, with about 1,000 of them spotted this week.
The Marine Mammal Center is monitoring the sea lion population and rescuing injured animals.
Local businesses are hopeful that the increased sea lion presence will attract more visitors and boost the economy in the area.
