A dietitian says there are three spices you should always keep in the kitchen... both for flavor and for health.
Cinnamon - In addition to it's unique flavor, cinnamon acts as a strong antioxidant that can help reduce inflammation in the body.
Turmeric - It's a spice and a health supplement. studies have shown that turmeric can protect the brain, reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer, and relieve arthritis.
Garlic - While garlic is technically a root vegetable, it's also heavily used for flavoring. Garlic has been shown to reduce cholesterol levels and, therefore, heart disease risk.
