Vụ was nominated by his husband Justin, who wrote:
"Two months after his mom arrived here from Vietnam, she became wheelchair bound... and cognitively impaired after a stroke took the use of her left arm and left leg. Though recently married, Vụ moved in with Vu’s mom in order to provide around the clock care for his mother. He freshly cooks her 3 different meals per day, has to lift her out of bed into her wheelchair, from wheelchair to car when he drives her to 3 or more medical appointments per week, and changes her many diapers and bedding. despite her condition, he keeps her appearance fashionable, does her hair and makeup so she feels better about herself while out facing the public."
Vụ will receive Brunch for 2 around the Bay on City Cruises.
