Congratulations to Laurie M. in Mountain View! She is this week's Morning Breeze Person of the Week!
Laurie was nominated by Connie, who wrote:
"Laurie is the founder and President of Itty Bitty Orphan Kitty Rescue (aka IBOK Rescue), which she founded all the way back in January 2003 to save orphaned kittens from high-kill shelters and the community. She has been running it on a volunteer basis from then to now, for over 20 years! I started volunteering with IBOK in July and have seen Laurie take care of everything, from rescuing the kittens straight from the shelters, to personally fostering and bottle feeding kittens, to arranging fosters and educating them on how to care for pre-weaned kittens, to managing the rescue's social media, recruiting volunteers, and opening San Jose's first kitten cafe! The dedication required to do all this for over 20 years free of charge, on your own personal time, is truly amazing. If anyone deserves to be The Breeze's person of the week, it would be her! Thank you!"
Laurie will receive Brunch for 2 around the Bay on City Cruises.
