The Volkswagen Beetle has reached the end of the road.
The German automaker rolled the last Beetle off the assembly line on Wednesday, marking the end of an era for the beloved car affectionately called the "bug." The car was first introduced in Nazi Germany in 1938 and became the most popular import in the U.S. in the 1960s.
Despite its place in pop culture, the Beetle couldn't compete with the demand for larger vehicles and SUV's. The last Beetles will be sold exclusively on Amazon. (CBS News)
