Gov. Gavin Newsom signed an executive order to put a 60-day pause on California's single-use plastic bag ban due to concerns that reusable bags might spread COVID-19.
Well that 60 day pause ends this week banning single use plastic bags again.
With the return of the plastic bag ban, grocers and other businesses can choose to allow for the use of reusable bags or purchase recycled paper bags for 10 cents.
