October 2020 the Coca-Cola Company discontinued some of their longtime products including the diet soda they have been making since 1963, Tab.
They released the statement “ "If not for Tab, we wouldn't have Diet Coke or Coke Zero Sugar. Tab did its job. In order to continue to innovate and give consumers the choices they want today, we have to make decisions like this one as part of our portfolio rationalization work."
Devoted Tab lovers have created an organization in an attempt to bring the soda back.
“SaveTabSoda” has not only created a change.org petition, but they also create call days and letter-writing campaigns with attempts to bring the drink back.
Despite the pleas from Tab Fans, the company doesn’t seem to be budging. They said in a statement “We appreciate the passionate legion of Tab lovers who have reached out and who embraced the brand for nearly six decades”
