Soon, you won't be able to buy plastic water bottles at any of the country's national parks.
Interior Secretary Deb Haaland has announced plans to phase out the sale of water bottles or other 'single-use plastic products' at national parks.
Instead, parks are instructed to focus on compostable, biodegradable, or 100% recycled materials.
Haaland says the move will prevent "millions of pounds" of disposable plastic from polluting the parks. The switch will take full effect by the year 2032.
