New Biopic Will Depict The Adventures Of Young Billy Joel

The upcoming biopic "Billy and Me" will focus on the early years of music legend Billy Joel, directed by John Ottman, known for his work on "Bohemian Rhapsody." The film will tell the story from the perspective of Joel's manager, Irwin Mazur, and his friend Jon Small. Despite not having Joel's authorization, the project is moving forward with casting underway. Ottman and screenwriter Adam Ripp have exclusive life rights to Mazur and Small, aiming to capture the essence of Joel's rise to fame before his breakout hit "Piano Man" in 1973. Joel, who has faced health challenges, continues to perform for his fans, while Ottman brings his expertise as a filmmaker to create an authentic and emotional portrayal of the musician's early life.
